These Days

To say that I have changed, I would say a little bit. Well no. still the same doing the same job may be with less enthusiasm but that is same all the years. You feel down due to other reasons and then pick up for the rest of the year in a months time.

Enthusiasm or fanaticism is still the same. Blue is the color. For whole last week I am dressed in blue only, different sets obviously but all blue. May be repel away my blues!!!

Phone bill and desire to go to India are ever increasing, as Shweta Agarwal says now you will look for reasons to go to India. Oh yes I can mention here Fukka Dada will soon be a Fukka pardada :). Again we had good dinner thanks to Schlum. Desserts were nice and you get a Tomoto Soup with "Rai" and "Kari Patta".

Daily I spend almost 100SAR on phone. My total talk time on phone reads 26+ hrs in 18 days. Now I am planning to attend Pokes's marriage so lets see how it goes.

People want me to change and I don't want to do now but I think this was the change I was looking for, so may be for the good lets try and do. My only fear is I should not be a looser and it is not ok here if you fail.

My Interview Experience - ISB

Done with my interview just now. IST 2:25pm

HEMA was there on the other side and nobody else. She took my interview first time also. for those who don't know she is from ad com...

She gave me word Fanatic... I blabbered something on that and then she asked what I am fanatic about answered something. She didn't ask further.

One question from my resume how you doubled the sales? now I think I underplayed my role there but answered in detail to her with details of my contribution. should have spoken more about Me but I think that's ok.

What you like about your Job? I gave her the answers with some pointers, but again she didn't ask. Should have asked one question at least.

Another one from my essay how you will contribute to the class with your process knowledge? said something...she sought some clarification which I think I answered. she jumped to next one so cannot gauge if she was ok or not.

Multicultural teams and obstacles etc gave her answer. easy-rehearsed one :P Something which I wrote in the leadership essay of Tuck. Again underplayed the team role but highlighted the leadership aspect.... The more I think the more it goes Haywire.

Then came the bomb. What is Democracy connect and what you did on a project? explain in detail your role. This answer was pure on the spot Don't remember what I answered but sad something... and then cooked up an time pass story for my project.... :D

Any questions for us. Asked one question, she answered it but I didn't grill her either should have asked her more here

And that's it. 22.5 min and finished.....

My assessment:
Either my answers were perfect or she was not interested at all.
If it was a formality so either I am out or already in.

So basically Can't say

As Kumavat says you have to play to her ego and can't gauge from her response now so lets wait till 10th

The day of Vows!!

16th Jan is the day of Vows. Last year it was no stick for 6 month.... though I kept it for 4.5 Monhths!!! and Today I have started going to Gym. Vow here is to be fitter, I dont know how long it lasts.

anyways lots of new learning coming my way. Its kind of difficult but lets see, I will manage.

On the other hand these bloody Adcoms.... either dont reply or reply in a cryptic way!! help and guidance comes in different packages. It is again verified that the failure teaches you a lot and you learn a lot from failed guys. Success stories are ok but failure stories are nice :)

Life is good and let it fly!!

Christmas-offline post

Merry Christmas and it couldn't have been merrier!! After a lot of last minute work we made it to the venue just in time. Even though it wasn't much cold but still I had the sweater on which I was asked to take off as soon as we reached the hotel. We were seated together and finally both said it is cold here :P while all other were pretty happy in regular clothes (No woolen). Lots of changes due to the many common relations and this created lots of confusions.

Now you get different kind of emails with many different suggestions. This MBA thing has now put me in an awkward position. People could take these in a different way nothing could be done even if you explain this straight. I can find something to blame for this delay but unknowingly things happen and the effect is something never thought of and something not in your hand. The difficulty is people don’t understand or appreciate the difference.

Little nervous I was, and this kept me away from the other stuff happening around and I realized this much later, there was nothing much I could do. This all made me feel the same, not in the group. Kind of aloof, something which I had ignored earlier but now the more I am there (part of action) the more I realize that the equation is very different and not in the same state as it appear. It is inexplicably strange. It is kind of you are there and heard yet you are not. If you think about it nothing clear appears and you get more confused. This is the other parallel with Sharmaji.

Now the questions, something which defies the logic and requires the so called common sense, give me some headache. What? Why? When? Where? How? Some part of life when you are away from home, you don’t have sufficient data to draw the parallels. Here the good old recklessness is not applicable.

Whatever

I just simply can't say Whatever. This post if I write will be the most haphazard post I would have written.

You do something, you do a lot of things but the cost of this is too much. I have paid it and still taxed for it. As I say I am not at ease when it is I who is not at mistake or the wrong end.

anyways.... the D days are coming.... as they write on the forums I am litrealy staring at the phone all the time but that fellow doesn't rings. I need something too kill the butterflies in my stomach. I think both are not so clearly thought of rather done in the way that I have to do it so have to do it as they are the best available options.

well now I should close it and close it forever, just that it was a phase and is over now. so simply say WHATEVER.

I am sick

now.... don't know what to do. Just finished LOTR less the appendixes. I dont have enrgy left to read the arial 8 font Appendix.  I have only one line to say the beauty of the books can't be brought forward ina movie but the director for LOTR has done Great work and justice to the writing. Though the book is beautiful.

A Bad habit of mine is I read the book to finish it rather than savor it and everytime I finish a book I feel the same... I am getting better. I will pick up the next one soon and finish it soon. LOTR took only 3 years. 

I feel like go to Dubai grand and have a glass full but the thought of sitting alone is holding me up. I will try an get something from Duty free next time. The sticks have ended for now but.....unless I swear oath to somebody or take a vow or abstinence for a fixed period.

The rupee is strengthening against dollar.... I could have done better here. I am reading an interesting article

I need to listen to Carpenters I think the time is coming for that either ways :P
