amars...

I am sitting at amars waiting for PawanG. Was just looking around thinking someone would know me, but immediately rejected the thought since all the faces were different. Things have changed, no longer an array of steel table and plastic chairs arranged haphazardly.
Cooking area is same and so is the smell...simply turns on the appetite. Appetite for the juices, frankies, dahi poori and the mango shakes. So I ordered for a change a fresh lime juice. Sitting under teh tree and sipping on the juice and waiting for the old man I hear: arre Sahab aap idhar? Itne dino ke baad?
This did the job and killed me. this was one old timer who use to serve me sharad and mandy most of the time. Lovely.

Finally Beria ka kambal kutai kara. We had fun after a long long time.

Anyways I thought I will finish off this one to make the lone entry for July. somehow I don't know my old problems are still there. Nothing much has changed as yet with the advent of Charu. I hoped it to but somehow it hasn't. Only one thing that has changed is my time management. Running from pillar to post catching up with everyone in kind of a mechanical life. Time is actually running by and I am just staring at it with a blank face. July is over and half the August seems to be over. I am left with only half September and lots to do. Good that I wrote now may be I will work.

I am flying again to India. :D Let's see how it shapes up this time and where and how I end up.

Cheers Mate...carry on fight it out. We are there :)

S-tuck-ed with Idex...MIDEX

I think the word is final....I am not in. I spoke to Ad Com today again but today her attitude was totally different, very cold and typical of a negative answer. Better I spoke to her now the picture is clear. I don't know next few days will surely be good for me. relaxed a bit.

As I mentioned today to Old Man it could be a blessing in disguise. Parents were a bit worried how to manage funds, fiancee worried about When will we be together? uncertainty at job, no scholarship from school or anybody else. All is well now.

Now it is clear. decide on application, search for job, make a firm plan B, marriage and life.

Also I will apply for car license, lets see how I fare this time. :-) 2 attempts maximum this time.

MIDEX This is the name of the company having office opposite to our office in DAFZA. So I say it is More Idex. :P

One more job which I could do good is at call center. from IST 5:30 pm these days I am continuously on phone till 9:30 minimum and after that 1 hour at least on cell phone. in the day I add another 3 hours. Any call is not less than 15 minutes.

Oh No...You say Good bye and I say Hello ...helo hello...I dont know why you say good bye I say helloo helloo...

Cheers

Deja Vu

Overheard a few days back at lunch: I got a call from this strange number +123456789. And I wont believe yesterday I got the call from the same number. :-) Looks like some issue with the call forwarding center here in Dubai.

Anyways things are happening.

Cheers & be Happy.

October Sky

Another wonderful movie, which I could watch again and again...I will put it in the league of RDB, Shawshank... one of the best ones from it, this one moves you off:

Look I know you and me exactly don’t see eye to eye on certain things, I Mean we don’t see eye to eye on just about anything dad I come to believe that I got in me to be somebody in this world, and its not because I am so different from you either its because I am the same I can just be as heard headed just as tough I only hope I can be a good a man as you are, me sure dr brown is a great scientist but he ain’t my hero.

and then finally in the end when the dad puts the hand on the shoulder of his son and hugging him, it kills you. Lovely.

Life has been awful these days. streak of losses in IPL for me :-) and people not happy by seeing the light at the end of tunnel. Each one with teh reasosn of their own. I think the bigger challenge would lay in clearing off from here. Incase I get to shift out from here. As they say nothing comes easy in life you have to pay and may be I have to pay more. :-(.

My bosses wife has the worst voice a woman could have. It is like a big church bell blown in your ear. This friday I left my specs in bathroom and later Nag comes and asks me are these yours? I was totally shocked. I have been using these for past 4 years at least and no body else uses these and noone visits us either and still he asks this some how ridicules me. Makes me ponder what people are actually made of. Instead of directly saying boss keep this and I found there the ask Is this yours? What I say is Mother f***** are you blind or something you have been fuckin seeing me wearing these daily and still you ask this are you out of your wits or what?

Question could have been posed differently. Common guys view it differently and take up soem responsibility no body is going to eat you away. I am simply amazed why the hell are they so insecure.

Grow up guys!!!

Whatever, I want to go home to take a chill pill and eat Mangoes but of no success I couldn't get tickets this Thusrday so lets see. Oman it will be next week and have to go to Egypt also it will be probably teh week after I come back from Oman and following this it will be Saudi in June. I have to be in Jaipur on 16-17th.

Cheers and Good Luck dude wipe off the negative.

Sadness

It is gloomy inside as it is outside now. I don't know somehow most of the days I don't find anything to cheer up and be happy and this is having an effect everywhere in all my actions, talk and even writing. Kind of a block.

Funny thing in Singapore poor guy dixi had to tag along with we luckkha guys (Abhinav Chintamani and Ankur Bhargava, Kanika and Pawan had the late office on Tuesday). Dixi and I sat for almost 8 hours hopping from one place to other, others joined us in between. As usual, since IITians were around, so calling people and waking them up begin and as usual it was pc poor guy sleeping hard after on a Monday night. I don't remember what I spoke but all was ok typical stuff. Anyways I was celebrating Charu's Bday :P.

Otherwise Singapore trip was waste. My point here is why don't people listen and just think that they have experience so what they are doing is good. I am fed up with this poking business. Anyways doesn't matter I Don't care for that. With 5 years in this company and 2 years in sales with the new bosses I am good.

Life's Good. All in family sat together for 4 hours. This was good, something really good when all sat together and had meals together. No parallels for it. Shopping for my sis and mom and Charu. Met Charu as well but was a very short running visit. Some strange things or Taboos but I believe they are good (At least in my case). It is fun talking to her but at times difficult.

Anyways I think I am doing sufficiently good so at least should be rewarded accordingly and this is what is killing me. I don't know seriously from small issues to big ones...whatever as somebody says keep trying and improving its a long way and there might be better things :)

The day of Vows!!

16th Jan is the day of Vows. Last year it was no stick for 6 month.... though I kept it for 4.5 Monhths!!! and Today I have started going to Gym. Vow here is to be fitter, I dont know how long it lasts.

anyways lots of new learning coming my way. Its kind of difficult but lets see, I will manage.

On the other hand these bloody Adcoms.... either dont reply or reply in a cryptic way!! help and guidance comes in different packages. It is again verified that the failure teaches you a lot and you learn a lot from failed guys. Success stories are ok but failure stories are nice :)

Life is good and let it fly!!

Christmas-offline post

Merry Christmas and it couldn't have been merrier!! After a lot of last minute work we made it to the venue just in time. Even though it wasn't much cold but still I had the sweater on which I was asked to take off as soon as we reached the hotel. We were seated together and finally both said it is cold here :P while all other were pretty happy in regular clothes (No woolen). Lots of changes due to the many common relations and this created lots of confusions.

Now you get different kind of emails with many different suggestions. This MBA thing has now put me in an awkward position. People could take these in a different way nothing could be done even if you explain this straight. I can find something to blame for this delay but unknowingly things happen and the effect is something never thought of and something not in your hand. The difficulty is people don’t understand or appreciate the difference.

Little nervous I was, and this kept me away from the other stuff happening around and I realized this much later, there was nothing much I could do. This all made me feel the same, not in the group. Kind of aloof, something which I had ignored earlier but now the more I am there (part of action) the more I realize that the equation is very different and not in the same state as it appear. It is inexplicably strange. It is kind of you are there and heard yet you are not. If you think about it nothing clear appears and you get more confused. This is the other parallel with Sharmaji.

Now the questions, something which defies the logic and requires the so called common sense, give me some headache. What? Why? When? Where? How? Some part of life when you are away from home, you don’t have sufficient data to draw the parallels. Here the good old recklessness is not applicable.

Whatever

I just simply can't say Whatever. This post if I write will be the most haphazard post I would have written.

You do something, you do a lot of things but the cost of this is too much. I have paid it and still taxed for it. As I say I am not at ease when it is I who is not at mistake or the wrong end.

anyways.... the D days are coming.... as they write on the forums I am litrealy staring at the phone all the time but that fellow doesn't rings. I need something too kill the butterflies in my stomach. I think both are not so clearly thought of rather done in the way that I have to do it so have to do it as they are the best available options.

well now I should close it and close it forever, just that it was a phase and is over now. so simply say WHATEVER.

Chill maddi!!

had one of those 10 liner chats with pc. I like his specs :P (photo on facebook)

I am stationed a lot on facebook these days some I will actually use it.

Jajaman samay bada anukool hai! jo hoga sab achha hi hoga!! bus aap sabra rakhein!!

Kuwait is cold it is 7deg C here and I am freezing :(

I am sick

now.... don't know what to do. Just finished LOTR less the appendixes. I dont have enrgy left to read the arial 8 font Appendix.  I have only one line to say the beauty of the books can't be brought forward ina movie but the director for LOTR has done Great work and justice to the writing. Though the book is beautiful.

A Bad habit of mine is I read the book to finish it rather than savor it and everytime I finish a book I feel the same... I am getting better. I will pick up the next one soon and finish it soon. LOTR took only 3 years.

I feel like go to Dubai grand and have a glass full but the thought of sitting alone is holding me up. I will try an get something from Duty free next time. The sticks have ended for now but.....unless I swear oath to somebody or take a vow or abstinence for a fixed period.

The rupee is strengthening against dollar.... I could have done better here. I am reading an interesting article

Mitra suggested this. It strikes right at the point.

Chill mate... Lets get some sleep don't know what tomorrow holds for you for sure an empty fridge!!!

Net Surfing and Life!!!

You might appreciate the color yellow
but thats just because painter has chosen to paint the sunset yellow
that does not mean that red is any less beautiful color

life is about living in a moment so I take it now :-)

My wanderings in youtube and lust for gossip brought me accross to the above and many more.... but these two I deem to be fit for my blog.

No news as yet and no news is always a good news!!

Yes today's date makrs a new begining and I look foward to it!!

Cheers & Enjoy!!

People in Jaipur

are senseless utterly disobedient, careless and rule breaker. They don't have any mannerism or respect for that no respect for the queue. You give your name in restaurant queue but of no use and these people show no signs of shame or sorry if proved wrong.

I dont like this.

On the road no respect for signals, a truck missed one of these types by inches. Honking & Tonking. There is no lane discipline eventhough Jaipur boasts of the best road with clearly marked lanes but who cares!!!

I hate it.

I am at sometimes one of them but this is a very commonly prevalent attitude here.

I am not saying that you go to the discipline level of Dubai or other places but something muct be there. Respecting others is same in all part of the world.

I am Sad

Mango

I'm Mango
You are luscious, exotic and sweet. You inspire passon and lust in everyone you meet. A mango lover is a personality to be reckoned with; quite often you are a person who has unique ideas, and influencer. You tend to be an extremist with strong likes and dislikes; and at times even like to control a situation.

I have to write, but I am busy with some other GOD stuff.

- US trip
- Boston, Hanover, Chicago
- Airports
- Flights
- Random People (Sandeep, Harshad...)

after some time

Been busy or may be pretending to be busy. Taking GMAT on 2nd. Haven't done anything on first application and neither on the preparation and on Saturday I have my final driving test. For sure this time it will be either way. I dont think I am doing justice.

The exercise schedule is long gone. Aalas is supreme commander.

Few days back was remember the old days in Jaipur when every Sunday at 3:30 pm I use to listen Diamond comics show, in which they relayed some part of the new comics...... this show had interesting tune as it is starting jingle.

Who cares!!!

met Fukka Dada and Shweta Bhabhi, she is good cook. I liked the way she maintained the house, lovely. Inspired me to return to khobar soon and more often :P

the last drag

always leaves me wanting for more. The last sip from the mango juice glass or the last bite of the Black Forest Pastry leaves a big empty space. Same feeling after you get a decent bargain, I could have done better. Its a nice feeling the more you indulge the more you savor it.

I am not serious (may be the same feeling of wanting more), I am sure I should do better and concentrate on things I need to do and the list is long. There is a difference in enjoying the ambiguity and foolishness. The news is my boss is joining executive MBA at SP jain center here.

Had a trip to Egypt for 6 days. Egyptian girls are beautiful. May be the way they dress or their figure but they are HOT. Now I can walk around in Cairo. Found some nice Cafe's with the SHEESHA. It is the best. Gyaani or mentoring trip but finally I gave in after 3 sessions. Lets see if I could get a better result. People on both the ends do not understand or may be they dont want to.

Desperation. How could a literate person do this? you have the situation in front of you and you want to enjoy but be sensible. Whatever....

Sharmaji ka phone is number not in use. He is another useless fellow in the world more than I am. Lots of catching up happening these days. Vahi, RPT, Reddy, Ramakant, Andy, Uttam, bharat and it is building up :).

Nothing much but have to figure out a lot of things. Nbdu.

ubuntu

ubuntu, in the African Bantu language, stresses collective success over individual achievements.

That's what I am looking for :)

though achievements are good but the collective success delivered is watched!!

Go for It.

I get knocked down but I get up again!!!

25 days

of hard work required to finish the second book of the year. The Da Vinci Code. modest 489 pages not very difficult English, though this time again I didn't refer to dictionary much but the flow couldn't be disrupted. Nice , fast moving step by step typical thriller setting. I thought I could finish it yesterday night but couldnt so finished of 40 odd pages first thing in the morning.

Cricket, South Africa is doing very well and Flintoff has comeback good. Sehwag is unpredictable. Anyways what I want to highlight here is as soon as log on to cricket commentary on cricinfo wihtin no time atleast a wicket falls. This I have observed over past one month, the Eng Vs SA and India Vs Srilanka. today I just logged on and Kumble went down to Murali. though Kumble is susceptible to get out quickly but still. So I will check only once a day. :) But still i can follow Eng Vs SA :P

Lots of work to do today.

Amit: Tera ghar hai, tere bumga hain baith ja

ROTFL!!!

other good thing about this movie is they have chosen amazing location probably the best use of the Maharashtra :) I have been to place where the group takes lift on a truck :)

I know I am plagirising the dialogues out of a movie without permission, but this is ok who knows which movie :P

Anyways South Africa drubs England again I like this.

Work is on but at snails pace, need to speed up Quick with patience.

6 months abstinence had its effect :) Who cares Do I need a reason? :P

Gyaan

dena is one such thing which I like :P. Now a days even the boss is also not spared leave aside other colleagues.

Making a few quick one short term decisions which could have long term implications.

"Recovery" is on, settling some old scores. Given the Huge Target and several constraints have to do things here and there.

Do work and think aloud & big.

Today the 20th July

nothing special about this one, except for today is rg's bday. It started as it does on every week day alarm, snooze, snooze and stop. Finally I got up & got ready. packed the bag went through the checklist, most importantly today I packed my lunch :D. Oh yes lunch cooked by yours truly. Was lucky got a taxi pretty soon who as usual charged me from 6AED instead of 3, doesn't matter as long as you are not baked in natural oven.

In the office it was freezing cold couldn't do much with the centralized AC as the switch/temperature control will be activated later. The nuances of moving into a building still undergoing finishing touches. Where there is a will there is a way. Open the two big windows and one door thats it natural heat will make it pleasent. So by 1 it was ok to sit down. Well today was a email day wrote and wrote n number of emails. Beacuse I didnt looked into my office emails over the weekend!!! (Good Job... Keep it up) so 3 days work in a day. Another hazard of moving in quickly in a new building. Everybody comes in to sell something or other people from stationary, computer accessories and even Hotels!!! good excuse is the key decision maker is not here so give me yor card I will ask him to call you once he comes back.

Lots happening in Jaipur. Dad is to move to some other place transfer etc.... people read a lot into many different things. Our tenant in jaipur somehow scared with this :P Its 8:30 and I am done with dinner and finishing the blog too. I think you can not ask for anything beter :P

Cheers mate!!
