Yesterday wrote a long post, but lost it. I will write again.

I am on road since 13th March, one day trip to Kuwait, week long to Saudi, followed by another week long trip to Shanghai, 10 day break in Dubai, now in Egypt for a week, next to Oman (may be) next week, again to Shanghai for 4 days (planning to do a mumbai or tokyo trip on teh way), to Saudi for 2 weeks and may be Jordan & Lebanon till June first week. Then might go to some place in ASEAN for Training (:P). Finally end of June & July 1st week India calling. Couldn't plan more :D

In Egypt these days. This has been a tough visit for me, daily getting up at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning traveling 500kms doing a true sales man job. Visit a customer do a presentation repeat same stuff again but answer some different question which is nice. Sit in car listen to Egyptian music and some discussion to get some more information. :). I saw pyramids again day before yesterday but only from a distance snapped a few photographs will post them on picassa once I go back to Dubai. I saw another historically important thing, the Suez canal, we drove along side this and I have photographs of the ships going in one direction and these will be available once I go back. Ships are allowed to go in one direction only some days North to South traffic and other days South to North. They have a road along side the canal and train track parallel to road, so three modes placed next to each other, would make a great pic to have air plane passing by with a train on track, ship/boat in canal and truck on road.

Egypt is a nice country, beautiful may be India some 15-20 years ago. similarities in terms of the settlings and the government offices and the attitude of the people there. Country side has similar houses (Kuccha and Pucca) with some small painting on the front wall, may have a boundary wall. typical conggregated shops, bus stand etc by the road (read highway) something which I see more in Rajasthan & Maharashtra at least. In cities also you have two storyed bungalows with garden and a car parked in front. big trees on the round abouts a typical south delhi types area (I vaguely remember some places I went when I was in Delhi some 11-12 yeas ago).

The government offices, old ragged building as if it would crumple down any moment, pale paint, stinking corridors with irregular chips/cemented flooring, small rooms with big windows (wrt to the room size), small table full of papers, the gentleman sitting across (unshaven, smoking and may be yellowed clothes) smoking ciggratte. They have 20-28 year old equipments with pumps in almost dying stage but they still claim that these are working fine. Whatever the country is nice and willing to change so company like ours would like to make the most :P.

Need to talk to my mom as pandit is not going to help anymore, pitch it up again with more data. Lets see

Cheers
Ankur.

PS: Project Tyson is on and I am gathering all the stuff from the IIT & Post IIT time so please email me on my gmail id whatever you have. Thanks :)
